Heathland Aquatic Engineering, offers 2 types of decked pontoons to ensure that we can fulfil all our customers key requirements. Both of the kit types consist of 3 key parts;
Decked Pontoon System 1
Floatation – The floatation used for this system is made from HDPE floatation pontoons, moulded from a UV stabilised Medium Density Polyethylene. A one piece shell is formed, which is extremely tough and virtually indestructible. These pontoons are also resistant to oil and chemical exposure. The pontoon sections have been filled with polystyrene bead, which are then steam injected to form a solid mass.
Frames – All of the pontoon frame-work is constructed using a 60mm x 40mm box section made from steel with a wall thickness of 3.2mm. The whole frame is then hot dip galvanised for increased life and stability. The standard frame size is 5000mm x 1500mm but we are able to manufacture these in any size.
A selection of fittings are then available including, mooring and fixing points, hinges, ramp fixings, anchor plates, service channels, cleats, rubbing strakes etc…
Decked Pontoon System 2
This system is constructed from our modular pontoon cubes to which we then add our galvanised steel deck mounting brackets and rails, which allows a deck of our customers choice to be installed securely to the pontoon.
The Deck – We offer a wide variety of deck options for the two systems including: Pressure Treated Softwood, Pressure Treated Hardwood, Fibreglass Gratings, Aluminium Checker Plate, Millboard Synthetic Decking, Dura Synthetic Decking, plus other specialist coverings.
We can either supply these kits to install yourself or we are able to supply and install the pontoon system.
We are also able to design and supply any bespoke items you may require and add these to the systems.
We supply decked pontoon systems for pond, lake, river and canal banks and full installation services to both domestic and commercial clients throughout the United Kingdom.
