Canals have a colourful history which includes a number of uses over the years from transport for industrial materials to modern applications such as fibre optic cables hidden below the towpaths to recreational boating. At Heathland Group we value the environment and therefore recognise the need to keep our canals clean, clear and healthy and to protect the wildlife, flora and fauna that exists around them. So canal aeration is extremely helpful in keeping canals clear and accessible and therefore ensuring that wildlife is protected and the environment around canal systems is healthy and thriving.
Heathland Aquatic Engineering can offer a wide range of canal aeration systems to suit any individual needs and requirements.
Aquamaster Canal Aeration
Aerators are an effective, natural, environmentally safe solution to the problems of algae build-up, aquatic weeds, bottom sludge and unpleasant odours in canals. The Volcano II & Hydromax Series are part of Aquamaster’s range of aerators as are the Ultimax aeration system and the truly amazing AquaAir aerator systems.
Any of these aeration systems are of world class quality and offer the very best solution for water quality problems and water management options. This series of aerators provides horizontal circulation of water and oxygen beneath the surface of the canal. These are ideal for use when a high performance, lower profile, floating surface aerator is needed or as with the AquaAir you are given the same high performance without the need to have the surface disturbance provided by fountains.
Aquamaster’s traditional aerators produce amazing aeration results
The more traditional Volcano II and Hydromax system produces amazing aeration results due to its high GPM pumping rates and oxygen transfer capabilities. The Hydromax series features the high volume performance of the Volcano II with its conical display pattern.
